This post couldn’t come at a better time! We are about to reprint our lounge after our toddler decided to do little Picasso crayon drawings on the walls, and discovering that the painter and decorator used the cheapest paint, it comes off with even a baby wipe! My top tip would be to use the most expensive paint you can afford, the cheap stuff just doesn’t hold up to day to day life with mucky little toddlers, this time I’m getting the Scrub proof paint! A fresh coat of paint on your home won’t look its best if there are underlying issues such as buckled siding, rotting wood, or warped trim. Complete all pre-paint repair work, including snapping loose siding into place, fully replacing wood pieces, or repairing small wood blemishes with wood putty.
Interior and exterior paints need to stand up to entirely different menaces. Paint on the interior of your home will need to be cleaned or even scrubbed. Exterior paints need to be resistant to weather and sun damage. Both exterior and interior paints are a combination of pigment, solvent, resins, and additives. The solvent in paint keeps it liquid and spreadable until it dries on your wall or trim. Latex paint dries more quickly because its solvent is water. The solvent in oil-based paints is mineral spirits, which takes more time to evaporate. Once the paint is applied, the solvent evaporates, and the resin allows the paint to adhere to the surface. Various additives in paint give it desirable characteristics, like moisture and scrub resistance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product ... read for cautions and usage Got this product today and excitedly ripped it out of its box ... after reading many reviews I was curious as to some of the complaints on the negitive reviews ...
"Our house looks great! Everyone was patient throughout and committed to ensuring we were satisfied customers as we vacillated with respect to color schemes, etc. The house had not been painted for years and the siding and fascia were badly weathered. Charles' commitment to quality ensured there was no skimping on the prep work, after which the painting went smoothly and beautifully. We were well informed throughout the job. Would recommend."
Painting might seem like an easy task — and it well may be, for a pro — but most experts recommend not doing this job yourself. Outdoor painting is more complicated than indoor painting, since siding materials can be difficult to paint on and you have to account for elements like wind and humidity.
