Wow Great job! love the blue door too and the wood porch ceiling. We bought a lake house that is painted dark chocolate brown. It helps hide dirt, but its so dark and depressing. We are looking at getting new siding (the type that looks like Cedar shakes but is actually Cement fiberboard) Anyway I could send you pictures? I am thinking of going with a Khaki tan color on the shakes, and white trim and my favorite color Wyeth Blue from Sherman Williams. Also do you have a Pintrest board for exterior paint colors? Thanks, youre the best Kristie! Love love what you do! Yes, check out my Exterior Colors Pinterest board here: http://www.pinterest.com/thedecorologist/exterior-paint-colors/

Practice by painting your own home. I did our bedroom, two bathrooms, a closet and the screened porch shortly after I discovered I could paint decently.

Painting both the inside and outside of your home is a great solution that refreshes your space and adds value. It’s more affordable and convenient than a full-scale remodel. The top reasons most homeowners paint their home’s interior is to change their aesthetic, protect the walls themselves, and enhance the quality of the air indoors by reducing the dust particles in the air.
There are many things to consider and many decisions that need to be made when house painting. Paint colors can dramatically change the mood and interior design of your home. Paint can make a statement with splashes of bold color, or it can be a soft backdrop to a more muted interior. Either way, painting is one of the easiest and least expensive tools in the interior design world. However, there are a few things you should know before you paint—things that will make your job much easier. You never know, you may actually enjoy painting after reading this.
If it has been a while since you last painted, chances are, your home is in need of a new paint job. Homeowners face common issues, such as cracking in the stucco, discoloration, peeling, flaking, and chipping of the outer layer. If you live in an area such as Daly City, San Francisco, Marin County, Oakland, or anywhere else in the Bay Area, your home deals with weathering. Throughout the year, your home faces different extremes of weathering. The Bay Area is a place where houses can experience a huge range of environmental conditions. Over time, this can wear down even the sturdiest of houses, causing aesthetic losses which make the house appear aged.
Under these conditions, durable exterior paints must be applied. Using premium exterior paints is a starter for proper resistance.
I saw this and read reviews and thought it was worth a shot. This is so unbelievably worse than edging by hand. Some areas the paint just oozes from sides leaking onto next wall and some areas it has about 3 centimeters before the ceiling. It does not leave a nice crisp edge like advertised and like video shows. I was really hoping to get my sons room painted for him for his Christmas gift but now this is going to take me twice as long.
How much you pay your painter is dependent on the skill level of your hired painting team and the scope of work needed to be done. An Apprentice painter typically charges between $25 and $40, and Journeyman painter will charge between $45 and $70, and a Master painter will charge between $60 and $100. While it is not expected or required, you should also consider tipping your painters after a job well done.
First, take some masking tape and completely wrap your new roller cover like a mummy. When you remove the tape it will take any loose fibers with it so they don't end up on your wall.
